A materials manufacturer, not a reseller
RETRAK presses recovered polyethylene-aluminium laminate into building panels at its own plant, then supplies Canadian contractors, specifiers and distributors directly. We control the feedstock specification, the press parameters and the tolerances we ship to.

What we do
Beverage cartons are roughly 75% paperboard, 20% polyethylene and 5% aluminium. Recyclers recover the fibre; the remaining laminate has historically been landfilled or burned. RETRAK takes that laminate as a raw material and consolidates it under heat and pressure into a dense, homogeneous board.
The result behaves less like a recycled product and more like an engineered one: waterproof, rot-proof, corrosion-free, dimensionally stable, and workable with ordinary site tools. Three product families are profiled from it — corrugated PolyAl sheet, stone composite panels and a sprayed cork coating.

How we work
We publish numbers, not adjectives
Every performance claim on this site maps to a measured value, a test method or a stated status. Where a certification is still in progress, it is listed as in progress.
One material, engineered for its job
Sheeting, cladding and coating come out of the same recovered feedstock. Specifying across the range means one supply chain, one set of tolerances and one point of technical contact.
Built for the trade
Products are designed around the tools already on the truck: carbide blades, cordless drivers, standard fasteners. No proprietary tooling, no factory-only fabrication.
Circular by construction
The feedstock is a waste stream that had no destination. At end of service the panel returns to the same press. There is no coating or laminate to separate first.
Timeline
From press trial to national supply
- 2021First thermo-press trials on recovered PolyAl flake in Monterrey, Nuevo León.
- 2023Commercial production of corrugated sheet begins on line one.
- 2025Stone composite panel and spray cork lines added; second press line commissioned.
- 2026RETRAK Canada established; Calgary distribution warehouse opens for prairie freight.
- 2027Container program scheduled across all provinces; CAN/ULC-S102 testing concludes.
